EVENT – “Wait No More” Foster Care Event, February 27, 2019

As a pastor, deacon, or church or community leader . . . we need your help!

Nearly 10,000 children in Kentucky are in the state foster care system! The raging opioid crisis is accelerating foster care with more cases of abuse and neglect at unprecedented levels.

Please consider attending this FREE informational lunch on Wednesday, February 27th from 12-1:30 pm at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, KY.

Focus on the Family President Jim Daly, once a foster child himself, will discuss the Foster Care Crisis and the thousands of children and youth in Kentucky who go to bed every night waiting for a family. As part of the Body of Christ churches of all denominations can play a bigger part in in helping the 10,000 children in Foster Care.

Why is Your Attendance Needed – Why Now & What’s Next?

The State of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) in conjunction with local agencies and ministries, will be hosting a free educational events in August 2019, encouraging families to consider fostering a child, adoption from foster care, or supporting a family who does.

Our desire is for churches all across Kentucky to spread the word about the event, inviting their congregations to attend. Please feel free to share this invitation with other church, foster care, adoption, and leaders in your community.
